The Boston Fish market is closing at 11:00 a.m. and closing at 2:00 p.m., but it will be open later at 2 p.p.m..
It is the only fish market in the city, but the last of the traditional markets that started in Boston were closed in 2008.
The market closed to the public a year ago.
“This is a historic day for the city of Boston,” said Boston Mayor Marty Walsh.
“As the last fish market to close in Boston, we are excited to welcome the community to enjoy fresh fish from the river to enjoy on the patio.”
The Fish Market closed in October 2015 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the city.
The fish market will be closed on Saturday and Sunday.
