A new report from The Associated Press and CNBC is calling for the market to bounce back this week from a severe bear market.
The report comes as the U.S. dollar rose after falling to a new all-time low against the yen and as European stocks plunged on Thursday.
The AP and CNBC report is based on data from a survey of about 1,000 retail investors conducted by The Wall Street Journal’s Consumer Price Index research firm.
The AP and other outlets use a more traditional measure of consumer spending.
The market plunged nearly 7 percent over the course of the year and is now trading at its lowest point since August 2014, according to the WSJ survey.
